Die Steels are high carbon steels with high hardness, strength, and wear resistance (either carbon or alloy). Die steels are strong, tough, and hard that has special alloying additions to ordinary plain high carbon steels. They are used in the manufacture of dies for metalworking operations such as forging, rolling, extrusion, deep drawing, and so on. It is heat treatable and has a hardness range of 55-62HRC. It is machinable in the annealed state.
